Since last time we went to the Herb Garden at Gopeng,
then this round we are going to turn Taiping
upside down!

Taping was the second largest town in Perak.
The town has shifted the main industry area
from tin mining to tourism started from 21st century.
Taiping was the mother land of nature.
Taiping was well-known from its
Natural Gardens, Historical Heritages, Wildlife and so on.
Thus, this round we would like to explore the whole Taiping!

The Spirit of Nature
Taiping Lake Gardens
-Brief Histories about Taiping Lake Gardens-
Taiping Lake Gardens was the first public park established
by the British in Malaya in 1880.
This park sprawls over 62 hectares at the foot of Bukit Larut.
By the way,
have you noticed that why it was named as Garden's'?
Not much people know that there are actually
EIGHT LAKES within this HUGE sanctuary!

Taiping Lake Gardens
-Brief Histories about Taiping Lake Gardens-
Taiping Lake Gardens was the first public park established
by the British in Malaya in 1880.

-The Entrance of the Gardens-
There was a long walking path at the entrance of the Taiping Lake Gardens.
"How far can you see depends on how far you willing to walk..."
Swan boat was provided for you.
Swan Boat was a 2-seats pedal boat.
It cost RM10 for two adults
and additional 1 kid for RM2.
You can surround the whole lake
within the duration of 30mins
and it worth!
-The Taiping Lakes-
The lakes are peace and blue.
The lands are warm and green.
Feel the freshness,
Feel the power of nature.
-The Wedding Path-
Two rows of pillars were built parallel on both sides.
It was a great spot to have your
wedding photo shooting here.
Let the sun be your priest,
and let the nature to be your witnesses.

The sunset was beautiful.
The last sun ray was end here.
Taiping Lake Gardens has kept to a
gentler pace of life.
It was the Mother of Nature
who always embraces to those
who have spread their wings a bit further away.

Taiping War Cemetery
-Brief Histories about Taiping War Cemetery-
Taiping War Cemetery is a graveyard
for those who were sacrifices during World War II.
It is located in Bukit Larut, Taiping, Perak, Malaysia.
This graveyard was then erected by
the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
The Cemetery was separated by the main road
into two sides.
One of the grave sites are for Christian soldiers
who sacrificed in battle.
While the nest grave sites are for
the Muslim, Gurkha and Hindi casualties of war.
-Their Name Live For Evermore-
Their sacrifice is the highest form of patriotism.
Their bloods flow in Malaysia's heart.
Their spirits exist in Malaysians' minds.
Here is our highest respect to the defenders.

The Cemetery contains 826 graves of
Commonwealth casualties
who fell before the advance of the Japanese
in the "Campaign in Malaya"
(Dec 1941-Feb1942)

The War Cemetery is open throughout the day,
about 2km from Taiping town.

Taiping Zoo and Night Safari
-Brief Histories about Taiping Zoo and Night Safari-
Taiping Zoo was the only zoo
in the North of Peninsular Malaysia.
The park has covered an area of 34 acres.
It established in 1961,
and it was the oldest zoo in Malaysia.

It is located beside the Taiping Lake Gardens
and close to Larut Hill (Maxwell Hill).

This was the main entrance of the zoo.

Taiping Zoo had becomes the home
for more than 180 species

The little kangaroo was hold by the zookeeper
and it was the 1st time we touch the kangaroo!

The elephant was open to the public.
Visitors are able to touch them too.

-The "Monorail" in the Zoo-
Taiping Zoo gives every care to the visitors.
The management has prepared Zoo Mini Train to the visitors.
It will bring you to visit around the zoo,

You don't have to pay a cent for it!
-The "Part-Time" Zookeeper-
Taiping Zoo provides Feeding Session for the visitors.
You can feed the animals in certain sessions!

Taiping Zoo has set up some photo shooting booths
and some souvenirs shops too.

Taiping Zoo has a special feature which is the Night Safari.
It was the third zoo open in the world
after the zoo in China and Singapore
and it was the FIRST in Malaysia.
Night Safari was a unique tourism product
where animals which are active during the night
are displayed using special lighting.

You can either exit from Changkat Jering or Taiping.
There will be a lot of road signs showing the way to Taiping Zoo.
